Resumo: The creation and implementation of Brazilian labor laws during the 1930s gave rise to important political debates. The various stakeholders - the state, the bourgeoisie, and workers - each with their own social project, had forged mechanisms designed to protect their own interests. Within this framework, this article addresses the arguments regarding the Expulsion of Foreigners Act (1907), the "Dois Tercos"(Two-thirds) Act (1930), and the Unionization Act (1931). These acts provide clear evidence that the growth of state interventionism was accompanied by tensions and changes, and that the labor legislation was not simply the 'gift' of a Corporate State.

Los actores en escena, Estado, burguesía y trabajadores, cada uno con sus proyectos sociales específicos, habían forjado mecanismos destinados a defender sus intereses. Dentro de este cuadro, situamos las discusiones con respecto a la Ley de Expulsión de Extranjeros (1907), la Ley de los Dos Tercios (1930) y la Ley de Sindicalización (1931), lo cual evidencia que el aumento del intervencionismo estatal estuvo acompañado de tensiones y cambios y que la legislación laboral no fue “donada” por el Estado Corporativo.A produção e a aplicação das leis trabalhistas brasileiras nos anos 30 suscitaram grandes debates no cenário político. Os atores em cena, Estado, Burguesía e Trabalhadores cada qual com projetos societários específcos forjaram mecanismos a fim de defenderem e concretizarem seus respectivos interesses.
