The structural features of the lineaments associated with the Ponta Grossa Arch - Guapiara, São Jeronimo-Curiuva, Rio Alonzo and Rio Piquiri - in the southern portion of the state of São Paulo and northeast of the state of Paraná have response in Precambrian terranes and had an important role in the regional tectonic evolution since the Mesozoic time, with different behaviors during their evolutionary history and also pointing to an important role in the neotectonic framework. This work was targeted to investigations searching lithological and structural characterization of the Guapiara Lineament geometry and kinematic, as well as pre-existing structures in structural control of the tectonic evolution until the Cenozoic. Its geomorphological expression in the region is evident from the control of drainage network and in the aligned topographic elevations parallel to the dyke swarm. Interpretations were made from maps of the drainage network, structural lineaments and relief. Fieldwork data include structures that deform Precambrian basement rocks, Mesozoic basic rocks dykes and faults that control sedimentation of the Cenozoic Pariquera-Açu Formation. Through the data obtained from the principal orientations of fault sets and kinematic analysis from the reconstruction of paleostress axes it was possible to associate the recognized structures with the tectonic event of formation of dike swarms and to the opening events of Cenozoic basins in Southeastern of Brazil pointing to neotectonic deformation
