O ensaio audiovisual: as origens da reflexão ensaística, os aspectos comunicacionais e as relações com o jornalismo

Resumo: The present work has as object of study the audiovisual essays in the digital platforms of video. The last decade witnessed, on the Internet, a tendency of proliferation of videos that have essayistic characteristics. This undergraduate thesis starts from this observation to enter into an epistemological and phenomenological discussion, besides understanding the communicational aspects and the environment in which these essays are inserted. Finally, we seek to understand the relations that audiovisual essays can establish with journalism. In the first chapter, we present the main type research currently on the object of study, the approach to film studies, and show that our work does not intend to follow this methodological path. The second section of the paper is dedicated to exposing the predecessors of the audiovisual essay on the web, the literary essay and the film-essay, in order to understand the essayistic practice and its reception. The third chapter promotes a discussion about communication and the environment of the audiovisual essays studied here, identifying the cultural transformations, as well as the processes of media convergence and hybridizations. The fourth chapter seeks to relate how audiovisual essays and journalism can establish relations, exemplified in the three case studies that complete the body of the undergraduate thesis. We conclude that the essay, itself a form characterized by fluidity, can be applied to multiple communicational contexts and promote unique interactions with the viewer in aesthetic experience

A última década presenciou, na internet, uma tendência de proliferação de vídeos que possuem características ensaísticas. Esta monografia parte desta constatação para adentrar em uma discussão epistemológica e fenomenológica, além de entender os aspectos comunicacionais e o ambiente em que esses ensaios estão inseridos. Por fim, buscamos compreender as relações que os ensaios audiovisuais podem estabelecer com o jornalismo. No primeiro capítulo levantamos as principais pesquisas sobre o objeto de estudo, da abordagem dos estudos fílmicos, e demonstramos que este trabalho não pretende seguir tal caminho metodológico. A segunda seção do trabalho é dedicada a expor os antecessores do ensaio audiovisual na web, o ensaio literário e o filme-ensaio, de forma a compreender o fazer ensaístico e sua recepção. O terceiro capítulo promove uma discussão sobre a comunicação e o ambiente dos ensaios audiovisuais aqui estudados, identificando as transformações culturais, assim como os processos de convergência midiática e hibridações. O quarto capítulo procura relatar de que forma os ensaios audiovisuais e o jornalismo podem estabelecer relações, exemplificadas nos três estudos de casos que completam o corpo da monografia.
