Resumo: The concept of One health is a holistic view of the human-animal-environment relationship and, therefore, a multidisciplinary action is needed. The veterinarian is a key player of one health’s stability, as this professional have direct role in animal health, public health, safe food’s guarantee and in actions that ensure environmental sustainability. Thus, it is coherent that veterinary’s schools restructure their curriculum providing professional education harness in different areas of expertise based on one health’s philosophy. Furthermore, demand for more specialized professionals is growing in the labor market. This Undergraduate thesis (TCC) aim to review the curriculum structure of the veterinary medicine course at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ, UNESP – Botucatu) from a questionnaire applied to the veterinary medical community and FMVZ students, to indicate the new trends to be implemented in a new curriculum

Dessa forma, é coerente que as faculdades de medicina veterinária reestruturem seu currículo a fim de que haja uma formação dos profissionais atrelada a essas áreas assim como estabelecer a saúde única como uma das bases filosóficas de seu projeto político pedagógico, pois essa constitui-se de uma visão holística em torno da relação humana-animal-meio ambiente em que o médico veterinário tem um papel fundamental visto sua atuação direta na saúde animal, saúde pública, garantia de alimentos seguros e em ações que asseguram a sustentabilidade ambiental.
