Resumo: The main objective of this work it‟s investigate the figure of the autodiegético storyteller in the work O meu pé de Laranja Lima, from José Mauro de Vasconcelos and find the intentions that are hidden behind the exclusive exhibition of his point of view. For this purpose, we choose as a guiding of our research, by the large amount of teoric knowledge from José Luiz Fiorin (As astúcias da Enunciação: as categorias de pessoa, espaço e tempo) in which he elaborates an extensive study above the mechanisms that are related from the enunciation and the enunciate, that are manipulable throught the storyteller‟s speech. We choose the categories of person and time narrative, to the detriment of the space category, even understanding the relevance of the spatial category to the narrative, considering that to demonstrate the dominance that the storyteller exerts on his story and the pretense of convincing his interlocutor, the two narratological categories provides a greater diversity of examples for our research

Para essa finalidade, optamos como norteador de nossa pesquisa, pelo arcabouço teórico de José Luiz Fiorin (As astúcias da Enunciação: as categorias de pessoa, espaço e tempo) no qual elabora um extenso estudo a respeito dos mecanismos relacionados à enunciação e ao enunciado que são manipuláveis através do discurso do narrador.
