Resumo: The focus of this work is to present procedures for the implementation of the Criteria AU (urban arborization) of the Pmva (program municipality Verdeazul) of the state of São Paulo. The work is dedicated to present procedures to execute the criteria AU8, which asks to elaborate a map of the percentage of projection of the vegetation cover of the municipalities, and AU2, which asks to perform an inventory/registration and diagnosis of trees. The proposed procedures do not require high financial investments to obtain the results. It has a bit of boldness in proposing to bring to the laity in GIS (Geographic Information System) technology the contact with these tools, QGIS ® and Google Earth Pro ®, elaborating a step-by-step in these tools to manufacture the projection map of Vegetation cover; As well as create a digital database of the afforestation of your city. Based on the use of geotechnologies for the socio-environmental planning on the PMVA for the AU criterion, the execution of the work was implemented in the municipality of Teodoro Sampaio-SP. This work also seeks to discuss the importance of afforestation in cities. Shows the results from the proposed steps. Finally, it also intends to show the importance of the professional geographer in planning programs such as PMVA and to report some of this experience

O trabalho se dedica a apresentar procedimentos para executar os critérios AU8, que pede para elaborar um mapa do percentual de projeção da cobertura vegetal dos municípios, e AU2, que pede para realizar um inventário/cadastro e diagnóstico das árvores. Os procedimentos propostos não exigem elevados investimentos financeiros para a obtenção dos resultados. Tem um pouco de ousadia em propor trazer para os leigos em tecnologia de SIG (Sistema de Informação Geográfica) o contato com essas ferramentas, QGIS® e Google Earth Pro®, elaborando um passo-a-passo nessas ferramentas para confeccionar o Mapa de Projeção de Cobertura Vegetal; bem como criar um banco de dados digital da arborização de sua cidade. Partindo do uso de geotecnologias para o Planejamento Sócio-Ambiental sobre o PMVA para o critério AU, a execução do trabalho foi posta em prática no município de Teodoro Sampaio - SP. Este trabalho também procura discutir a importância da arborização nas cidades. Mostra os resultados a partir dos passos propostos.
