Resumo: The breed originates from New Zealand, resulting from the crossing between the Jersey and Holstein breeds, the Jersolando, also called Kiwicross, has important productive qualities and has led many dairy farmers to invest in its acquisition, in order to increase the genetic potential of dairy. Dutch cattle are known for their high yield potential in peak lactation, despite their milk being low in protein and fat, and the English Jersey breed produces tasty, nutritious milk with a high fat and protein content (content of solids). The Jersolando breed guarantees better use and yield of the final product, which generates higher income and often, payment of bonuses to the milk producer. It also presents: good fertility, smaller size, longevity, calving ease, good udders, sexual precocity and persistence in lactation.

O gado holandês é conhecido por seu alto potencial de rendimento em picos de lactação, apesar de seu leite ser pobre em proteína e gordura, e a raça inglesa Jersey, produz leite saboroso, nutritivo e com alto teor de gordura e proteína (teor de sólidos). A raça Jersolando garante melhor aproveitamento e rendimento de produto final, o que gera maior renda e muitas vezes, pagamento de bonificações ao produtor de leite.
