Geoprocessamento aplicado na identificação de conflitos de uso em APPs em Lençóis Paulista/SP a partir da legislação ambiental

The agriculture expansion and the different processes of use and improper occupation of the land have culminated in erosive and hydric problems, which require the need of reorganization of the space, as well as the management of the natural resources. The preservation and conservation of the native vegetations, specifically those located along the water courses and riverheads, are in a prominence position because of the importance of the protection of hydric resources and, related to that, there are the Brazilian Environment Laws, which may be considered on the of most advanced in the world. Thus, this work aims to verify the application of the Brazilian Forest Code (CFP) in connection with the Permanent Preservation Areas (APPs) located at the city of Lençóis Paulista (SP) as a subsidy for the conservation of the land of the hydric resources, since a major part of this area is of cultivated agricultural lands, especially the sugar cane. The procedures which were carried out made use of geoprocessing techniques, undertaken in the Idrisi Geographical Information System. The conflict of the use and occupation of the Land was obtained by means of the crossing of the information plans “Use of Land” and “Permanent Preservation Areas”. From this analysis, it was evidenced the conflict between the CFP the use of lands for several areas and mainly in relation to the agriculture.
