The taiko is the Japanese percussion and in Brazil it is spread all over the country having decent non Japanese descent practitioners, however there is a lack of knowledge about taiko in general, there are studies that compile the history of the taiko, the benefits or harms that this practice bringing power and so on. In addition, it is an age-old art that has become practical among people who do not have disabilities, there are few cities that have groups composed of people with disabilities and if it is part of it there are no studies, research that focuses on them. From this lack of data on the topic of taiko and specifically people with visual impairment came the present work with the questioning of: how would this ancient art be learned by people with visual impairment (PVI)? because, in addition to having few studies on taiko, the topic of taiko involving PVI is scarcer. For this reason, the objective of this work was to provide the learning of taiko for a PVI. The methodology was characterized as a qualitative and descriptive research, in the form of a case study.
