Resumo: Popular since the 19th century, posters have the objective of dissemination and transmission of information. Posters can unite text with visual information, one and the other related to visual perception; which is intrinsic to the process of the poster's design. The analysis of posters is the main point of this term paper. More importantly, this project is composed of an analysis of eight movie banners from films of American direction Quentin Tarantino. This analysis will be made through the use of Gestalt's Psychology, pointing out visual characteristics from Tarantino's banners; furthermore elaborating on common visual principles between these posters and how often they appear. In addition, this project can serve to expand the ability of the reader on the visual reading of movie posters

Sendo o pôster uma forma que associa texto e imagem, fatores relacionados à percepção visual do espectador são fundamentais para sua elaboração. Objeto compartilhado por criadores oriundos das artes e do design, o pôster é o objeto de estudo deste TCC. Mais especificamente, este projeto centra-se na análise formal de oito pôsteres dos filmes do diretor norte-americano Quentin Tarantino. Objetiva-se, através da Psicologia da Gestalt, apontar as características visuais das versões americanas dos cartazes dos filmes do diretor, além de investigar os possíveis fundamentos unificadores entre os cartazes e identificar a frequência desses elementos visuais.
