Currently, there is an increasing reliance on man by hydrocarbons and their derivatives because of their immense source of energy and raw materials. The need and consumption, coupled with technological development, led to the transport these products through pipelines that traverse immense cities, farms, roads and waterways. Therefore, the areas along the strip of the ducts and their surroundings are more susceptible to oil spill. Thus, considering the leakage of pipelines in continental areas, the impact tends to be higher in human lives due to the occupation next to these structures. Thus, the study of this problem related to the interaction of pipelines and waterways, it is considered that the geomorphological science, to study the landforms at different spatial and temporal scales, can collaborate with identifying features of fluvial origin more sensitive to possible oil spills. This kind of study can therefore be of great importance to diagnose areas of environmental sensitivity. This research proposes, through identification and mapping of the geomorphological features of fluvial origin, assess the significance of these features in terms of sensitivity to oil spills. The chosen area is at the bottom of the river valley Tietê between Laras disctrict Laranjal Paulista, until the Anhembi. Consequently, there was a need to identify and map the geomorphological characteristics of areas that may be subject to leaks in order to develop an appropriate environmental planning, as these mapping provide information needed to support decisions about preventive and and emergency measures oil spill if it occurs in waterways
