Resumo: This dissertation aimed to evaluate the effects of physical exercise performed through exergames in comparison to regular physical exercise on biochemical and functional markers of active elderly participants of conviction groups of the city of Passo Fundo, glimpsing two scientific productions. In production I the objective was to compare the effects of regular physical exercise versus performed with exergames on functional parameters of the active elderly; In production II was to buy the effects of regular physical exercise versus performed with exergames on biochemical markers in the active elderly. Both studies are of the experimental type of descriptiveanalytical character. The population of this study is composed of adults and elderly participants of the Coordination of Elderly Care (DATI) of Passo Fundo / RS, all of whom practice regular physical exercise two to three times a week, with no history of diabetes and dyslipidemias. The participation of elderly people in regular physical activities in order to contribute to their healthy aging, and one way to try to increase the practice of physical exercise in this population, is the implementation of new technologies, such as through video games. Because it is a playful activity, it increases the curiosity of the elderly and with the use of virtual realization, we allow this population to increase their practice of physical exercises. The sample consisted of 8 elderly individuals who were randomly divided into two groups: the control group (CG), where the elderly who were already active continued to practice their physical exercises on a regular basis, and the intervention group (GI), who practiced physical exercise in the environment Virtual (exergames). The groups were followed up for 12 weeks, the intervention group performed the exercises twice a week throughout the period. Biochemical and functional analyzes were carried out in groups before and after the intervention period. To analyze the data collected, the Student t test for paired sample was used. The level of significance was p ≤ 0.05. In the production I, statistically there was no statistically significant difference between the groups in the functional parameters, only a significant difference was observed in the parameters of the distribution of anterior plantar pressure and closed eyes (p = 0.047), as well as in production II, where there was no Significant difference between the groups on biochemical markers From the results found, it can be concluded that physical exercise through exergames is an alternative that should be considered for use in the elderly, although a worsening in the biochemical and functional markers of the In the group that performed the games, the worsening was milder in comparison to the GC.

No. of bitstreams: 1 2017MelinaRechSpanhol.pdf: 1215112 bytes, checksum: 0e6c1de22bc9af14c717af5b15650142 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2018-05-19T00:21:31Z (GMT).
