Uma análise da República Islâmica do Irã através das narrativas sequências Persépolis e O Paraíso de Zahra (1979-2009)

Resumo: The works Persepolis (2007) by Marjane Satrapi and Zahra’s Paradise (2009) by Amir and Khalil use the literary genre of comic books to support the construction of a discourse on the history of contemporary Iran since the end of the 1970s by the year 2009. Through the analysis of these works, we walk through the events of that interim, in order to show their narrative aspects, discourse and imagery, which were promoters of a representation of the transformations in Iran day by day at that time. Both works feature interpretations of these moments and identify the construction and deconstruction of expressions and memories, both individual and collective, in the midst of political, social and cultural transformation processes occurring in the country. Therefore, we analyse the previous formation of the Iranian society, highlighting the importance of leaders who gathered around him elements of a political religious and military representation, in a society that evaluates the guidance by systems of government based on divine embodiment, still visible nowadays. Along the way, we highlight the figure of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini as leader of the Iranian revolution and mentor of a new nation project based on a particular interpretation of the Koran. Following the content at the pages of these already mentioned narratives, we deeply analyse the construction of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the auspices of the consolidated theocratic model of the Khomeinist project, started even before his return from exile and legitimized at the post-revolution context. We also highlighted in the narratives the several forms of torture of the conscience through the body. Starting from the concepts of image, memory and narrative, we show the construction of a "fundamental speech" and its conformation as the predominant policy in the current stances taken by the Iranian government, whose national project built during the revolutionary process was consolidated by repressive practices and under strong popular protest.

Starting from the concepts of image, memory and narrative, we show the construction of a "fundamental speech" and its conformation as the predominant policy in the current stances taken by the Iranian government, whose national project built during the revolutionary process was consolidated by repressive practices and under strong popular protest.As obras Persépolis (2007), de Marjane Satrapi e O Paraíso de Zahra (2009), de Amir e Kalil valeram-se do gênero literário narrativa sequencial como suporte na construção de um discurso sobre a história do Irã contemporâneo desde fins da década de 1970 até o ano de 2009. Através da análise dessas obras, percorremos os eventos desse ínterim, a fim de evidenciar seus aspectos narrativos, discursivos e imagéticos, os quais foram promotores de uma representação sobre as transformações no cotidiano do Irã nesse período. Ambas as obras apresentam interpretações sobre esses momentos e permitem identificar a construção e desconstrução de expressões e memórias, individuais e coletivas, em meio aos processos de transformação política, social e cultural ocorridas no país. Para tanto, analisa-se os primórdios de conformação da sociedade iraniana, destacando a relevância de algumas lideranças que congregaram em torno de si elementos para uma representação política, religiosa e militar em uma sociedade cuja valorização dos sistemas de governo pautados na corporificação divina, ainda é evidente. Nesse percurso, salienta-se a figura do Aiatolá Ruhollah Khomeini como líder da revolução iraniana e mentor de um novo projeto de nação pautado em uma interpretação particular do Corão. Acompanhando o conteúdo presente nas páginas das narrativas em estudo, esmiúça-se a construção da República Islâmica do Irã sob a égide do modelo teocrático consolidado diante desta matriz referencial Khomeinista, inaugurada a partir do seu retorno do exílio e legitimada no contexto pós-revolução. Atenta-se também para os temas em destaque nas narrativas, cuja abordagem destacou as diversas formas de tortura da consciência através do corpo.
