Resumo: This article deals with financial transnationality from Breeton Woods meeting and its evolution until the creation of digital currencies. Its objective is to demonstrate that currency transnationalization shows the beginning of a new transnational monetary identity, for which States, as sovereign entities with political and legal power, are not prepared. To achieve this goal, this study analyzes the emergence of the transnationalization of the economy and its evolution. The creation and development of currencies is addressed, until those created in the transnationalized digital age, with due emphasis on cryptocurrencies and bitcoins, in order to conclude on the relativization of state sovereignty in view of the new monetary paradigm, of character transnational, deterritorialized in the virtual universe.

Seu objetivo é demostrar que a transnacionalização da moeda evidencia o início de uma nova identidade monetária transnacional, para a qual os Estados, na condição deentes soberanos dotados de poder político e jurídico, não estão preparados. A fim de alcançar tal objetivo, o estudo analisa o surgimento da transnacionalização da economia e sua evolução.
