Resumo: This article aims to present a review of the area of clinical interventions that use the video as a strategy of intervention, especially in the area of parents training of pre-school children. It also intends to present functional hypothesis about the behavioral process implicit in the positive results with the use of this resource. It discusses the advantages of using the video in the optimization of the instructions offered, for shortening the interventions, encouraging membership, reducing costs and leading to the achievement of positive results in the shortest time possible.

Se pretende, tambien, presentar hipótesis funcionales sobre el proceso comportamental implícito en la obtención de resultados positivos con el uso de este recurso. Se discuten las ventajas del empleo del video en la optimización de las orientaciones ofrecidas, abreviando las intervenciones, favoreciendo la adhesión, reduciendo los costos y llevando al alcance de resultados positivos en el menor tiempo posible.O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma revisão da literatura da área de intervenções clínicas que empregam o vídeo como estratégia de intervenção, principalmente na área de orientação de pais de crianças pré-escolares. Pretende-se, também, apresentar hipóteses funcionais sobre o processo comportamental implícito na obtenção de resultados positivos com o uso deste recurso.
