Resumo: The Psychosocial Care Center for Children and Adolescents (Capsi), connected to SUS, has shown itself as a redirection in mental health care for children and adolescents. This study aimed to get to know and describe the service Capsi of vitória‑ES in its first year of operation, by observing the institution, getting information from patient files and interviewing professionals. 162 children and adolescents received treatment at Capsi, of which 51 remained under treatment in the first year. Among these, the most common diagnosis were: emotional and behavior disorders. Professionals working in Capsi, who had to take exams to be admitted and did not know how it worked before, highlighted the importance of what they do and pointed out the need to seek resources and training for everyday work.

Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo conocer y describirel servicio del Capsi de la ciudad de vitória‑ES en su primer año de funcionamiento, por médio de observación de la institución, consulta de los datos en los prontuários de los pacientes y entrevista a los profesionales. En la intitución Capsi, 162 niños y adolescentes recibieron atendimiento, de los cuales 51 permanecieron en atendimiento en el primer año de funcionamiento. En estos, los diagnósticos más frecuentes fueron: trastornos emocionales y de comportamiento. Los profesionales que actuan en el Capsi, en su gran mayoría llegaron por intermédio de concurso público y no conocían el funcionamiento del servicio previamente, destacan la importância de lo que realizan y apuntan la necesidad de buscar recursos y especialización para el trabajo del dia‑día.O Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Infanto-Juvenil (CAPSi), ligado ao SUS, mostra-se como um redirecionamento na assistência em saúde mental para crianças e adolescentes. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo conhecer e descrever o serviço do CAPSi da cidade de Vitória-ES em seu primeiro ano de funcionamento, por meio de observação da instituição, consulta aos dados dos prontuários dos pacientes e entrevista aos profissionais. 162 crianças e adolescentes receberam atendimento no CAPSi, dos quais 51 permaneceram em atendimento no primeiro ano do serviço. Nestes, os diagnósticos mais freqüentes foram: transtornos emocionais e do comportamento.
