Resumo: This paper analyzes the theme mystery in the tales of Lygia Fagundes Telles, sobbed one of the different modes application perspective of the unusual in the narrative. As a central issue, argues the unveiling of the singular mystery paths in the chosen stories and investigates how this phenomenon is manifests in the narratives. The following methodological procedures were adopted: reading the collections Mistérios and Contos de mistério, selection four tales of these anthologies, fortune search writer critics in order to meet the author of the work reception for experts, the theories study collaborated for some of understanding carriers genres do unusual and tributaries of mystery tales, especially Tzvetan Todorov, David Roas and Filipe Furtado for treatment of manifestations make unusual, and particularly Edgar Allan Poe for study of mystery, corpus analysis of preparation, as deductions, based in privileged theoretical axis starting from the study of narratives under the bias of the unusual and your strands. Work and outlined for the theme mystery and travels on the way to open unusual, however presents also other analysis prospects as the interiority of the characters and symbols, marks that are present in the tales of Lygia, elected for this dissertation.

Como questão central, sustenta o desvelamento dos caminhos singulares do mistério nos contos escolhidos e investiga como este fenômeno se manifesta nas narrativas. Adotaram-se os seguintes procedimentos metodológicos: leitura das coletâneas Mistérios e Contos de mistério, seleção de quatro contos destas antologias, pesquisa da fortuna crítica da escritora com o intuito de conhecer a recepção da obra da autora pelos especialistas, estudo das teorias que colaboraram para a compreensão de alguns dos gêneros portadores do insólito e tributários dos contos de mistério, especialmente de Tzvetan Todorov, David Roas e Filipe Furtado para o tratamento das manifestações do insólito, e particularmente Edgar Allan Poe para o estudo do mistério, elaboração da análise do corpus, de forma dedutiva, com base nos eixos teóricos privilegiados partindo do estudo das narrativas sob o viés do insólito e suas vertentes.
