Resumo: | The efficient use of lighting in architecture is conditioned to the study of the availability of natural light and its integration into the artificial lighting system. Artificial lighting is considered one of the largest energy consumptions in educational buildings, just after air-conditioning systems. The aim of this research is to understand, through computational simulations, the potential of natural light utilization in automatic systems of artificial lighting control. The method was applied in analyzes performed in three cases developed in the design classrooms of the following universities: Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation - FAAP, University of São Paulo - USP and Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. The model was made through the use of Dialux Evo 8.1 calculation and modeling software and the Rhinoceros Diva Plug-in. Dynamic simulations of natural and artificial light were performed in all the months of the year during commercial hours, in order to obtain the average monthly illumination by lighting zones. The Brazilian standards NBR ISO / ICE were used as parameters of the analyzes. The results show that energy efficiency and energy conservation in the teaching environment depend on several variables and not only the systems integration, such as: building position in relation to the north, size of the environment as width, length and height, type aperture, glass transmittance, and reflectances in relation to the color of the floor, walls, and ceiling. The best strategy is the integration of natural and artificial light by means of control systems that allow the dimming of artificial light, so that it is adjusted to supplement the levels available by natural light, keeping the prescribed illuminance level constant for each environment. It is necessary to use lighting zones according to the activity to be performed, taking into consideration the architectural design of the environment and the function of the space, in order to achieve the desired illuminance in the environment, each time the control system enters. in action, according to the variations of natural light throughout the year, allows the reduction of energy consumption and consequently the energy efficiency of the building. |
