Resumo: | Portland cement (CP) is the main raw material for the production of reinforced concrete, a structural component of great prestige for contributing to the translation of the refinement and comfort of urban buildings. Patented less than 200 years ago, the CP can receive several additions with components that aid in its performance and improve its binder, strength and waterproof properties. This novel work presents the laboratory synthesis of the pseudoboemite nanomaterial, in great quantity, where, part of which was used as a wet gel and another freeze-dried. The nanomaterial was added to the CP in the following percentages by mass: 5.0wt% in the gel form, 2.5wt% and 5.0wt% freeze-dried gel to obtain concrete test bodies. These molded specimens with and without addition, using the same concrete trait, were evaluated for heat of slump, compressive strength and ultrasonic wave propagation at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. The results show that the addition of pseudoboemite in the CP that improves the properties of the concrete is 5.0wt% in the gel form, because in the case of addition in the freeze-dried form, the kneading water competes between the chemical reaction of the concrete and the rehydration of the pseudoboemite, requiring a higher water / cement factor in the CP concrete that receives addition in the freeze-dried form. |
