A internacionalização da indústria brasileira de produtos orgânicos sob a perspectiva das capacidades dinâmicas

Resumo: The organic agri-food market is being touted as one the fastest growing in Brazil and in the world. The Brazil is the country that offers the greatest potential for organic production in the world; approximately 90 million hectares are arable, not to mention the areas of conventional production that can migrate to the organic system of agricultural cultivation. The export of Brazilian organic products to developed countries has shown himself to be an alternative to marketing and business development. More than 70% of the national organic production is intended mainly for the USA, Europe and Japan. Still, it appears that there is room for growth. The demand for Brazilian organic products grows. To this end, the brazilian organics industry must adapt to the new demands of the international market. Organizational adaptation to changes in the environment has been the focus of the literature of dynamic capabilities, where special emphasis is given to resources and competencies that need to be processed in the adaptive process. Based on these elements, the aim of this study is to identify the influence of dynamic capabilities on the ability of internationalization of brazilian organic products industry. To this end, a mixed method exploratory-descriptive research (qualitative method and quantitative method) divided in two steps. In qualitative research step sought, through interviews with professionals (certification companies and executives of companies producing organic products that operate in the international market), determine elements to characterize the constructs dynamic capabilities and internationalization capability, as well as validate the indicators used in the study. The results contributed to the Constitution of the elements that characterize the dynamic capabilities and internationalization, as well as to validate their size and structure the due data collection instrument for next stage of research. This instrument (questionnaire) was used in the quantitative research. The data, collected through questionnaires, 105 answered by executives of companies producing organic act on the international market, were treated statistically by the descriptive analysis (Shapiro-Wilk test, Kruskal-Wallis test and Levene test), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and development in structural equations to analyze the relationships between constructs dynamic capabilities and internationalization capability. The results obtained showed valid relationship between the dynamic capabilities and capacities of internationalization of brazilian organic products industry. Through the analysis of results obtained from this study showed that the dynamic capabilities, through its size, management skills and internal processes, have a positive influence on the ability of internationalization. The practices linked to the concept of dynamic capabilities allow you to enhance the capacity of internationalization of brazilian organic products industry, enabling a service-oriented organizational restructuring to the needs and expectations of customers in international markets.

O Brasil é o país que apresenta o maior potencial de produção orgânica no mundo; são aproximadamente 90 milhões de hectares agricultáveis, sem contar as áreas de produção convencional que podem migrar para o sistema orgânico de cultivo agropecuário. A exportação de produtos orgânicos brasileiros para países desenvolvidos tem se mostrado uma alternativa de comercialização e desenvolvimento de negócios. Mais de 70% da produção orgânica nacional destina-se, principalmente para os EUA, Europa e Japão. Ainda assim, observa-se que existe espaço para crescimento. A demanda por produtos orgânicos brasileiros cresce. Para tanto, a indústria brasileira de orgânicos deve se adaptar às novas demandas do mercado internacional. A adaptação organizacional às mudanças no ambiente tem sido o foco da literatura de capacidades dinâmicas, onde é dada especial ênfase aos recursos e competências que precisam ser transformados no processo adaptativo. Com base nesses elementos, o objetivo deste trabalho é identificar a influência das capacidades dinâmicas sobre a capacidade de internacionalização da indústria brasileira de produtos orgânicos. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa exploratório-descritiva multimétodo (método qualitativo e método quantitativo) dividida em duas etapas. Na etapa qualitativa da pesquisa buscou-se, por meio de entrevistas com profissionais (executivos de empresas certificadoras e de empresas produtoras de produtos orgânicos que atuam no mercado internacional), determinar elementos para caracterizar os construtos capacidades dinâmicas e capacidade de internacionalização, bem como validar os indicadores utilizados no estudo. Os resultados obtidos contribuíram para a constituição dos elementos caracterizadores das capacidades dinâmicas e da capacidade de internacionalização, bem como para validar suas respectivas dimensões e estruturar o devido instrumento de coleta de dados para a próxima etapa da pesquisa. Este instrumento (questionário) foi utilizado na etapa de pesquisa quantitativa. Os dados, coletados através de 105 questionários, respondidos por executivos de empresas produtoras de orgânicos que atuam no mercado internacional, foram tratados estatisticamente pela análise descritiva (teste de Shapiro-Wilk, teste de Kruskal-Wallis e teste de Levene), análise fatorial confirmatória (AFC) e desenvolvimento em equações estruturais para analisar as relações entre os construtos capacidades dinâmicas e capacidade de internacionalização. Os resultados obtidos apontaram uma relação entre as capacidades dinâmicas e capacidades de internacionalização da indústria brasileira de produtos orgânicos. Por meio da análise de resultados obtidos neste estudo, evidenciou-se que as capacidades dinâmicas, por meio de suas dimensões, habilidades gerenciais e processos internos, têm uma influência positiva sobre a capacidade de internacionalização.
