Focusing at the public spaces of Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo, the present work aims to understand how the sphere of time (subjective and objective time) crosses or influences the uses that people make of these spaces in different situations, whether at the weekly routine, or at the weekends. Furthermore, it seeks to understand how the temporal factor composes, both the relations between one inhabitant and another, as well as the relations between inhabitant and space. From this perspective, the present research catalogs and dis cusses ways of using time which are anchored in physical structures in the territory in question. To this end, a theoretical bibliography on the concepts of space and time was revisited. In addition, it was created a cartography that collects situations of use (by photographs) caught in the public territory of Avenida Paulista between the years 2019 and 2020. This work intends to put in evidence the qualities of public spaces on Avenida Paulista, what can contribute to the development of actions (or not actions) that aim to improve or maintain that qualities.
