A reflexão sobre alguns versos de Antônio Carlos Ferreira de Brito (1944-1987), mais conhecido por Cacaso no universo cultural da década de setenta, no Brasil, nos ocupa neste artigo. Alguns escritos da filósofa Hannah Arendt sobre a violência servem como ponto de partida para a compreensão de uma poética cerzida em profunda articulação com o seu momento de produção. Assim, conceitos como trauma, memória e testemunho são entendidos à luz de versos que problematizam a possibilidade de representação poética. A palavra poética, escrita sob a violência institucional da década de setenta, a ela resiste. Resiste e responde através de versos feridos que sangram e choram. Versos que têm valor de conhecimento erevelam que da dor também se extrai lucidez e sombra.THE WORD UNDER VIOLENCE: LUCIDITY AND SHADOW IN CACASO´S VERSESReflection on some verses of Antônio Carlos Ferreira de Brito (1944-1987),best known as Cacaso in the cultural universe of the 70´s, in Brazil, occupies our attention in this article. Some writings of the philosopher Hannah Arendt on violence work as a starting point for the understanding of a poetic in deep connection with its moment of production. Thus, concepts such as trauma, memory and testimony are understood in the light of verses that question the possibility of poetic representation. The poetic word, written under the institutional violence of the seventies, resists this same violence. It resists and responds with injured verses that bleed and cry. Verses that have value of knowledge and reveal that lucidityand shadow are also extracted from pain.
