Resumo: The addition of organic fertilizers in the soil may provide nutrients to plants and improve the chemical, physical and biological soil. One of the organic fertilizers used in agriculture is the byproduct of coffee, which is rich in potassium and other nutrients that may be available to the plants by the process of decomposition and mineralization. This work aimed to evaluate the changes in chemical and biological properties of two soils with different texture after adding organic byproduct from the agribusiness of coffee as well as the growth of maize plants and their nutritional status. The experiment was a randomized block, with factorial scheme 2 x 8 (two soils and eight sources of byproduct) and the sources of coffee byproduct were equivalent to 0, 10, 30, 50, 80, 120, 160 and 200% of the total of P recommended for corn. Was made incorporate of the coffee byproduct to soil, realized sampling at 30, 60 and 90 days of incubation, when the planting was made six corn seeds (BRS-Catingueiro) per pot, with thinning 10 days after emergency. After 35 days of cultivation, corn plants were cut flush to soil for the evaluation of growth, taking a further sample of soil. Samples of the incubation phase and after the cultivation of maize, were evaluated chemical and biological variables, realized, also, the assessment of growth and contents and contents of P and K+ in vegetable tissue. The results were submitted to analysis of variance and, when significant, the averages were compared by Tukey (P<0,05), for the soil factor and the factor dose was adjusted regression equations of the dependent variables as a function of dose applied. There was no significant effect treatments applied on the variable Mg2+ of the soil. The highest contents of the nutrients Ca2+, K+ e P occurred at 90 days, being the contents of Ca2+ e K+ significantly higher in the Ultisol, while the contents of P were in the Oxisol. The C-MBC showed similar behavior in periods of 30, 60 and 90 days, in the Oxisol; while in the Ultisol, the C-CBM increased with time of incubation. A RBM, metabolic quotient (qCO2), COT and CSA had higher values in periods of 30 days and in Ultisol, while the microbial quotient (qMic), were better in the Oxisol. There was a positive response to the doses of the byproduct to DC, AP, NF and MSPA, which were significantly higher in the Oxisol, well as the content and the content of potassium and phosphorus in shoots of maize plants.

Submitted by (edna.saturno@ufrpe.br) on 2016-12-19T13:01:21Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Karoline de Melo Padilha.pdf: 813072 bytes, checksum: 04f6c547e66381861452494c5849cea6 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2016-12-19T13:01:21Z (GMT).
