Resumo: The objective of this study was to compare the levels of displacement versus force in techniques of partial lateral corpectomy (PLC), PLC associated with pediculectomy and PLC associated with pediculectomy and hemilaminectomy, with and without vertebral stabilization, during rotational movements, flexion, extension, lateral flexion and axial compression, to establish whether there is significant difference between these techniques in the referred breed. When vertebral stabilization was not performed, in all analyzes, the means of displacement were lower in the assessment of normal vertebra, followed by increases in the means of PLC, PLC associated with pediculectomy and hemilaminectomy. In the evaluation of the differences between the means of each technique in relation to the evaluation performed before the decompression procedures, there was an increase in the means concomitantly with an increase in the number of associated decompression procedures. In the analysis of the force versus displacement curve, there was an increase of the neutral zone in the flexion, lateral flexion and rotation movements after PLC and in the associations with the different decompression techniques. When analyzing the influence of vertebral stabilization, the mean values were higher in the evaluation of the intact vertebra and lower after the PLC, increasing the degree of displacement as it was associated with decompression techniques and vertebral stabilization in the variables axial compression, flexion, right and left lateral flexion. In the other parameters, the values were variable. In comparison between the techniques with and without pedicular screw, the means were higher when only the decompression procedures were performed and smaller after the stabilization with pedicular screws. The results suggested that spinal stabilization is not necessary in Dachshund dogs submitted to PLC and PLC associated with pediculectomy. However, PLC associated with pediculectomy and hemilaminectomy in this type of patients should be performed with caution, due to a significant increase in the range of motion. When this association is required, vertebral stabilization is indicated and was efficient in maintaining the vertebral displacement close to the values of normal displacement of intact vertebra in Dachshund dogs.

Quando não se realizou a estabilização vertebral, em todas as análises, as médias do deslocamento foram menores na avaliação da vértebra normal, seguidas com acréscimos das médias da CLP, CLP associada à pediculectomia e após a realização da hemilaminectomia. Na avaliação das diferenças entre as médias de deslocamento de cada técnica em relação à avaliação realizada antes dos procedimentos descompressivos, houve o aumento do deslocamento concomitantemente com aumento do número de procedimentos descompressivos associados. Nas análises da curva de força versus deslocamento, houve aumento da zona neutra nos movimentos de flexão, flexão lateral e rotação após a realização da CLP e nas associações com as diferentes técnicas descompressivas. Ao analisar a influência da estabilização vertebral, o deslocamento foi maior na avaliação da vértebra intacta e menor após a realização da CLP, aumentando o grau de deslocamento conforme se associava as técnicas descompressivas e estabilização vertebral nas variáveis compressão axial, flexão, flexão lateral direita e esquerda. Nos demais parâmetros, os valores foram variáveis. Na comparação entre as técnicas sem e com uso de parafuso pediculares, as médias foram maiores quando foram realizados apenas os procedimentos descompressivos e menores após a estabilização com os parafusos pediculares. Os resultados sugeriram que a estabilização da coluna vertebral não é necessária em cães da raça Dachshund submetidos à CLP e CLP associada à pediculectomia. No entanto, a CLP associada à pediculectomia e à hemilaminectomia nesse tipo de pacientes deve ser realizada com precaução, devido ao aumento significativo na amplitude do movimento.
