Resumo: | The opening of federal higher education units (HEU) in municipalities in the interior of Brazil linked to the presence of Local Productive Arrangements in these territories can be perceived with inclusive objectives of educational opportunity and development for the regions where they are allocated. As a result of this, it was intended in this dissertation to understand how the interactions between higher education institutions and the local productive segments are presented from the perspective of the Knowledge Economy. For that, we proceeded with the mapping of which are the municipalities of the interior that simultaneously have the presence of Federal University, Federal Institute with offer of higher education and APL. In the possession of the sample, the direct research, through semi-structured interview, began between august 2016 and february 2017 with the actors involved. From the observed results, it is evident that most of the federal HEU that made up the sample of this study need, in particular, to direct greater efforts to approach the different actors that constitute the productive agglomerations through, among other things, local partnerships and cooperation, research development, extension practices and innovations applied to the reality of each place, especially considering their demands and particularities. It is also inferred that the effects observed in each campus, to which it appears in the first analysis, are derived from the social capital present in the region where they are inserted. |

Em virtude disso, foi pretendido nesta dissertação entender de que forma se apresentam as interações entre as instituições de ensino superior e os arranjos produtivos locais a partir da ótica da Economia do Conhecimento. Para tanto, se procedeu com o mapeamento de quais são os municípios do interior que abrigam ao mesmo tempo Universidade Federal, Instituto Federal com oferta de ensino superior e APL. De posse da amostra, se deu início à pesquisa direta, via entrevista semiestruturada, entre agosto de 2016 e fevereiro de 2017 com os atores envolvidos. A partir dos resultados observados, se evidencia em conclusão que maior parte das UES federais que compuseram a amostra deste estudo necessitam, sobretudo, direcionar maiores esforços para se aproximarem dos diferentes atores que constituem as aglomerações produtivas através de, entre outras coisas, parcerias locais e internacionais, cooperação, desenvolvimento de pesquisas, de práticas de extensão e inovações aplicadas à realidade de cada local considerando especialmente suas demandas e particularidades.
