Resumo: | The Atlantic Forest suffered an intense process of degradation, which transformed previously continuous environments into fragments. The CSR theory, which classifies species into competitors (C), stress-tolerant (S) and ruderals (R), has been shown to be interesting to understand the influence of the environment on the functional strategies of plant species. Thus, this research aimed to evaluate how the variation of luminosity along the ecological succession in a humid tropical forest influences the proportion of the CSR functional strategies of the trees. The work was carried out in the Dois Irmãos State Park (PEDI), which is a protected remnant of the Atlantic Forest, a refuge for fauna and flora with 1161 ha, of great importance because it is a forest within an urbanized area. Data were collected in a module of the graduate program in biology (PPBio) composed of three treatments with different ages of regeneration: younger than 30 years (initial); between 34 and 46 years old (intermediate) and over 46 years old (mature). Three 250 x 40 m plots were sampled in each treatment, which were composed of 60 sampling units of 10 x 20 m. The data were the percentage of light transmission within the canopy (TransTotal%), the basal area and three leaf functional traits (specific leaf area, leaf dry matter content and leaf area), submitted to the StrateFy spreadsheet to determine the scores. of CSR strategies. From these scores, the CWM (Community Weighted-Mean) of C, S and R of the plots was calculated to obtain the predominance of ecological strategies at the community level. Assim, esta pesquisa objetivou avaliar como a variação de luminosidade ao longo da sucessão ecológica em uma floresta tropical úmida influencia a proporção das estratégias funcionais CSR das árvores. O trabalho foi realizado no Parque Estadual de Dois Irmãos (PEDI), que é um remanescente protegido de Mata Atlântica, refúgio de fauna e flora com 1161 ha, de grande importância, por se tratar de uma floresta dentro de uma zona urbanizada. Os dados foram coletados em um módulo do programa de pós-graduação de biologia (PPBio), composto por três tratamentos com diferentes idades de regeneração: menor que 30 anos (inicial); entre 34 e 46 anos (intermediário); e maior que 46 anos (madura). Foram amostradas três parcelas de 250 x 40 m em cada tratamento, sendo estas compostas por 60 unidade amostrais de 10 x 20 m. Os dados foram: a porcentagem de transmissão de luz no interior do dossel (TransTotal%), a área basal e três traços funcionais foliares (área foliar específica, conteúdo de matéria seca na folha e área foliar), submetidos à planilha StrateFy para determinação dos scores das estratégias CSR. A partir destes scores, calculou-se o CWM (Community Weighted-Mean) de C, S e R das parcelas para obtenção da predominância de estratégias ecológicas ao nível de comunidade. Foi realizada uma MANOVA com os valores de CWM-C e CWM-S, área basal e TransTotal% para detectar se as variáveis ambientais explicam a adoção de estratégias funcionais, além de uma regressão entre área basal e TransTotal%, com intuito de aferir se a estrutura da floresta está influenciando o gradiente de luminosidade. A luz não seguiu o padrão esperado de maior penetração na regeneração mais recente e menor na floresta madura. Já a área basal seguiu o padrão esperado, embora com pouca influência no gradiente de luminosidade. Nas parcelas com maior entrada de luz, havia mais árvores com estratégia S e, nas com menor entrada de luz, com estratégia C.
