Resumo: The understanding of processes involved in the yield and transport of sediment on hydrosedimentological cycle from watersheds depends on the knowledge of the factors that control the gross erosion and sediment yield. The aim of this work was to monitor and quantify the suspended and bedload sediment yield and gross erosion of the Exu semiarid watershed by direct measurement, and to quantify the rates of the interrill, the rill and the gully erosion processes in order to compute the sediment delivery ratio from the Exu watershed. This watershed showed a highly branched drainage system and channels since straight until tortuous. The hydraulic and gully erosion rates predictions from the Exu watershed were found to be satisfactory because they were much closer to the observed final width and depth gully. The sediment yield and sediment delivery ratio from Exu were found to be 12.77 t km-2 year-1 and 0.0017, respectively. The value of the sediment delivery ratio can be greater for a larger monitoring period in case of the watersheds located in the semiarid regions

Desta maneira, o objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar a taxa de entrega de sedimento na bacia hidrográfica do riacho Exu no semiárido Pernambucano através da produção de sedimento total e das taxas de erosão das formas de erosão bruta. A produção de sedimento foi determinada através de campanhas de medição direta do sedimento em suspensão e de fundo, pelo método de Igual Incremento de Largura. As taxas de erosão bruta foram obtidas por testes de erosão entressulcos com chuva simulada e testes de erosão em sulco pré-formado, enquanto as taxas de erosão por voçoroca foram obtidas pelo modelo de Foster & Lane (1983). A bacia do Exu apresentou uma rede de drenagem muito ramificada, com a ocorrência de canais de diversas formas que vão desde os retilíneos até os tortuosos. As estimativas realizadas para as taxas de erosão e as variáveis hidráulicas da voçoroca na bacia hidrográfica do riacho Exu foram adequadas por aproximarem-se bastante da largura final da voçoroca e da profundidade media observada da voçoroca. A produção do sedimento de fundo teve um valor médio de 12,77 t km-2 ano-1.
