Resumo: The objective this work was determine the prevalence of the infection by Lentivírus of Ruminants Small in caprine and ovines geneticly chosen, caprines and ovines of slaugherhauses an in caprines of the creations dairymen of the Pernambuco State. Behind may/2011 and april/2011, blood samples were gathered of 3679 ruminants small being 635 caprines and 1243 ovines geneticly chosen came of 34 creations of caprines in 29 municipalities and 61 creations of ovines in 29 municipalities, 1049 caprines of 51 creations of dairy caprines in eight municipalities and 369 caprines and 383 ovines in 10 municipalities. Utilized ruminants small raffled randon, being the calculation of the proportional example the laboratorial test applied was the Immunization in Gel of Agarose (IDGA) produced with spared of cultures of calls infected with CAEV-Co and MVV-1514 of the Laboratory Biovetec-Recife-PE. The prevalence of the infection of CAEV in caprines geneticly chose were 8,2% (52/635, IC 95% 6,2 – 10,6%) and the infection by MVV in ovines were 1,4 (17/ 1243, IC 95% 0,8 – 2,2%). In criations of caprines considering the sex variable verified that the femals introduced a suggestion of bigger prevalence of the infection by CAEV, in relation to males (p = 0,0041) and with relation to genetic group (p = 0,0046) there was a tendency of bigger prevalence of CAEV in the genetic groups Parda Alpina and Anglo-nubiana, with the genetic group Saanen. Already in ovines considering there was a tendency the gigger prevalency of MVV is the genetic groups Cariri (p=0,0002). The prevalence observed in dairy caprines of 15,8% (164/1049, IC 95% 13,6 – 18,2%), occurring by the way a soropositive animal in 35 of 51 creations studied and different meaning behing genetic group (race) (p= 037) and age (p=0,043). The prevalence of LVPR in caprines of slaughterhouses was of 1,9% (7/369) and in ovines was 0,3% (1/383). By the studies realized, concluded that the LVPR are presents in creations of caprines and ovines by the Pernambuco State, being necessary measure of cantion and control fixed by the organs of the govern and owners, to avoid the diffusion and damages caused by these infirmities.

By the studies realized, concluded that the LVPR are presents in creations of caprines and ovines by the Pernambuco State, being necessary measure of cantion and control fixed by the organs of the govern and owners, to avoid the diffusion and damages caused by these infirmities.O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar a prevalência da infecção por Lentivírus de Pequenos Ruminantes (LVPR) em caprinos e ovinos geneticamente selecionados, caprinos e ovinos de abatedouros e em caprinos de criações leiteiras do Estado de Pernambuco. Submitted by (edna.saturno@ufrpe.br) on 2016-08-25T13:01:31Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Elialdo Xavier de Melo.pdf: 849800 bytes, checksum: 5a5acddc75800240a45417c11a46286a (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2016-08-25T13:01:32Z (GMT).
