Resumo: The objective was to evaluate the effect of inclusion level of residual silage beans in sugar-cane T1 - 0%, T2 - 5%, T3 - T4 and 10% - 15% in natural matter on the performance and carcass characteristics of sheep. Used 32 lambs without defined racial pattern, castrated males, averaging initial live weight initial 20 ± 0, 244 kg and six months old, were fed full in individual stalls. The experimental diets had an average of 2, 4 Mcal / kg MSand 14% crude protein (PB) forage: concentrate ratio variable for which they had approximatevalues of fiber. The experimental design was randomized blocks, four blocks, four treatments and with eight replications. The experiment lasted 72 days, 15 and 57 adaptation of trial it self. The experimental design was randomized blocks, four blocks, four treatments and eight repetitions. The intake of dry matter, organic matter, fat (EE), protein, FDN, FDA, total carbohydrates showed no significant difference (P V 0,05), only the intake of non-fibrous carbohydrates varied among treatments (143, 150, 144 and 176g). The digestibility of EE and FDN showed no significant difference (P V 0,05), except for PB, MS and MO. There was a significant difference for average daily gain and feed conversion. Live weight at slaughter, hot carcass yield, cold carcass yield, loss of cooling, real income and the weight of all cuts except the pork were not affected (P V 0.05) by incubation of sugar-cane enriched with bean residue. They also did not influence (P V 0.05) the quality characteristics of carcasses, as shear force, color, cooking loss, muscularity of the leg (IMP), the eye area (AOL), fat cover (GC), except carcass compactness index (CCI). The silage from sugar cane residue enriched with beans uto the level of 15%, as fed, can be fed to sheep without compromising the dry matter intake, digestibility of nutrients and weight gain, weights cuts in income and housing quality standards, this providing an alternative for use in feed for sheep.

Submitted by (edna.saturno@ufrpe.br) on 2017-05-16T17:05:21Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Rodrigo Barbosa de Andrade.pdf: 424203 bytes, checksum: da4e5439c999fe2ebfd007e5a48d3be1 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2017-05-16T17:05:21Z (GMT).
