Resumo: | The objective of this study was to characterize nutritionally the wastes from the processing of guava from juices and sweets industries to broilers. Three metabolism assays were performed in the pre-initial, initial and growth phases, using 234 chicks, Cobb 500, male, distributed in a completely randomized design with three treatments and six replicates. The diets were composed of a reference with corn and soybean meal and two diets tests, one with 20% inclusion of the guava juice waste (FGP) and another with 20% inclusion of the sweet waste (FGD). Total excreta collection was performed and all material was processed and sent for chemical composition analyzes. The data were submitted to analysis of variance and Tukey test at 5% of probability. The wastes under study have similar values of dry matter and crude energy, but the FGD presented higher percentages of crude protein, ethereal extract and mineral matter when compared to FGP. This, in turn, presented higher fiber content and non-structural carbohydrates. Regarding the energy values, FGP presented 1,424 kcal / kg for EMA and 1,423 kcal / kg for EMAn and FGD, 1,579 kcal / kg for EMA and 1,419 kcal / kg for EMAn. The inclusion of the wastes reduced the metabolizability of the nutrients of the rations and the wastes did not differ in relation to the values of CMAMS, AMA, EMAn and CMAEB. The EMA values increased with the growth of the broilers and for the CMAPB, the wastes differed in the pre-initial and initial phases for both residues, having an even better use of the protein in the growth phase. Thus, FGD has a better nutritional composition when compared to FGP and the inclusion of wastes can reduce nutrient utilization and metabolizable energy by broilers. |

Submitted by Mario BC (mario@bc.ufrpe.br) on 2019-07-02T15:30:57Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Elayne de Souza Rocha Soares.pdf: 669528 bytes, checksum: 009814cfc938a1577e5a8e5873011900 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2019-07-02T15:30:57Z (GMT). The objective of this study was to characterize nutritionally the wastes from the processing of guava from juices and sweets industries to broilers. |
