Resumo: | The objective of this work was to investigate the relationship between performance indicators and organizational competencies within the wholesale / distribution companies of the food sector of the Metropolitan Region of Recife. Organizational competencies can be understood as a set of resources that affect performance, so that these can be articulated to analyze performance indicators (FERNANDES, 2004). Thus, the use and importance of performance indicators and organizational competencies under the perspective of the Balanced Scorecard were analyzed, and indicators and competences were then related. Regarding the procedures, the research is characterized by being documentary, bibliographical and Survey, so as to meet the objective of this research was used as a tool for collecting data the questionnaire, applied to managers of 37 companies of the Metropolitan Region of Recife. For the analysis of the collected data, descriptive statistics and the Spearman Correlation were used, both through the use of the STATISTICA for windows software. Through the analysis it can be concluded that the financial performance indicators are the most used by the company as well as the competencies related to the financial perspective. Regarding the relationships between performance indicators and competencies, it was noticed that the perspective of learning and growth had more statistically significant observations regarding use and relative importance. In addition, it can be said that the level of education of the manager is the characteristic of the respondent who most presents significant relationships with the indicators and requirements and the billing is the characteristic of the company that most influence in the use of indicators and Skills. |

As competências organizacionais podem ser entendidas como um conjunto de recursos que afetam o desempenho, de modo que estes podem ser articulados para análise dos indicadores de desempenho (FERNANDES, 2004). Assim foram analisados o uso e a importância dos indicadores de desempenho e das competências organizacionais sob as perspectivas do Balance Scorecard, e em seguida foram relacionados indicadores e competências. Quanto aos procedimentos a pesquisa caracteriza-se por ser documental, bibliográfica e Survey, de modo a atender ao objetivo desta pesquisa foi utilizado como instrumento de coleta de dados o questionário, aplicado a gestores de 37 empresas da Região Metropolitana do Recife. Para análise dos dados coletados foi utilizada a estatística descritiva e a Correlação de Spearman, ambas através do auxílio do software STATISTICA for windows. Através da análise pode-se concluir que os indicadores de desempenho financeiros são os mais utilizados pelas empresas assim como as competências relacionadas a perspectiva financeira. Já as relações entre os indicadores de desempenho e competências, percebeu-se que a perspectiva de aprendizagem e crescimento teve maiores observações estatisticamente significativas quanto ao uso e quanto a importância relativa.
