On the African coast and in the Atlantic Islands, the chalk product marketing became important due to the variety of its uses. To understand the process of production and marketing of chalk al, was necessary to resort to geographical understanding studies and archaeological sources, which in turn gave rise to research and helped sew the fabric of information at first unconnected regarding object. The period in which we draw this text is significant to the story of Itamaracá, while Captaincy and while colonial domination. The second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18TH CENTURY (1654-1763) these are a part of the history of the island in that many conflicts settled to plot the direction of this Captaincy in several aspects, be they political, social and, above all, economic. This was one of the reasons why we chose this timeframe. Thus, we have divided the text, then, in three chapters to build dialogue between the island's history and the production of chalk. |

This was one of the reasons why we chose this timeframe. Submitted by Mario BC (mario@bc.ufrpe.br) on 2016-12-28T14:53:46Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Rodrigo Ibson da Silva Oliveira.pdf: 7774926 bytes, checksum: bf22c612307f1c060bc84d8c086c3350 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2016-12-28T14:53:46Z (GMT).
