CUIDADOS FAMILIARES PARA PROMOÇÃO DA SAÚDE DA CRIANÇA NUM MUNICÍPIO DO INTERIOR DO ESTADO DE SÃO PAULO

Resumo: Introduction: Brazilian Child Health is supported by policies and programs that try to guarantee the right of the Child and Adolescent Statute that the child has the right to full protection, including those related to physical, mental, spiritual and social development . Objective: To identify the health promotion care provided by family members of children aged 0 to 6 years enrolled in the public school system in Assis-SP. Method: Exploratory research, with cross-sectional design and quantitative approach, carried out through a self-administered questionnaire and elaborated based on the “Our Children Project: Windows of Opportunities” that addresses issues related to food, health, hygiene, games, love and security. applied to parents. Results: The study included 81 parents and guardians with an average age of 32.52 years, most of them female and with complete high school education. Regarding Hygiene and Health care, it was observed that 5 (6.17%) of the family members reported that they sometimes wash their hands to prepare food and to take care of the child. It was also possible to observe that many parents did not adhere to exclusive breastfeeding until 06 months of age and that the family relationships of bond and affection with the children are satisfactory. Conclusion: It is concluded, therefore, that health actions aimed at promoting children's health need to improve in some aspects, such as intensifying health education about breastfeeding, hygiene care, the importance of immunization and family relationships for development and child growth.

Objetivo: Identificar os cuidados de promoção da saúde prestados pelos familiares de crianças com idade entre 0 a 6 anos matriculados na rede pública de ensino de Assis-SP. Método: Pesquisa exploratória, de delineamento transversal e abordagem quantitativa, realizada por meio de questionário autoaplicado e elaborado com base no “Projeto Nossas Crianças: Janelas de Oportunidades” que aborda questões referentes à alimentação, saúde, higiene, brincadeiras, amor e segurança e foi aplicado aos pais. Resultados: Participaram da pesquisa 81 pais e responsáveis com média de idade de 32,52 anos, a maioria do sexo feminino e com o ensino médio completo. Sobre os cuidados de Higiene e Saúde observou-se que 5 (6,17%) dos familiares referem que as vezes higienizam as mãos para preparar os alimentos e para cuidar da criança. Foi possível observar também que muitos pais não aderiram ao aleitamento materno exclusivo até os 06 meses de vida e que as relações familiares de vínculo e afeto com as crianças são satisfatórias.
