Resumo: The general objective of the research was to analyze the record of ethical procedures used in doctoral research in the area of Education, completed from 2017 to 2022, in a Graduate Program located in the Northeast region of Brazil and considered of national excellence (grade 5) by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). The mixed approach and the documentary research method were used. Statistical analysis was applied to quantitative data and content analysis to qualitative data. During the studied period, 149 theses were defended, obtaining access to 139 (93.29%). Of the total number of studies analyzed, only six (4.32%) were approved by the Research Ethics Committee and 53 (38.13%) referred to the use of the Informed Consent Form. Keywords: Research Ethics; Theses; Educational Research; Methodology.Este artigo aborda o resultado de um estudo que teve como objetivo geral analisar o registro dos procedimentos éticos utilizados em pesquisas de Doutorado na área de Educação, concluídas de 2017 a 2022, em um Programa de Pós-Graduação situado na região Nordeste do Brasil e considerado de excelência nacional (nota 5) pela Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes). Empregou-se a abordagem mista e o método de pesquisa documental. Aplicou-se a análise estatística para os dados quantitativos e a análise de conteúdo para os qualitativos. No período estudado, foram defendidas 149 teses, obtendo-se acesso a 139 (93,29%).
