Resumo: This article seeks to draw a conceptual and operational line related to a transformation project of the extensive industrial and railway park in Tamanduateí Valley in the state of Sao Paulo. The singularity of its structure, form and landscape (alternating and exchanging free and constructed spaces, textures, granula- tions and intensities, figure and background) is a condition of possibility for the construction of a urbanism in the frontier between a building and the city.
