Eixos de mobilidade urbana e a (re)configuração do uso do solo e da densidade urbana: estudo de caso da Avenida Presidente Vargas, Passo Fundo/RS-Brasil

The objective of this research is to analyze the possible implications of urban mobility on Avenida Presidente Vargas, in the city of Passo Fundo / RS-Brazil, in relation to the variable urban diversity and density between 2001 and 2020. The urban space needs investments in infrastructure to respond to the demands of circulation of motor vehicles, in order to mitigate congestion, pollutant gas emissions, noise pollution and traffic accidents. In this context, factors that positively and negatively influence the use of motorized vehicles and urban mobility become noticeable, especially on a local scale. For the development of this research, surveys were carried out in loco, aiming at the construction of thematic maps that assist in the understanding of the urban. The results obtained reinforce the analysis of urban mobility in its various factors that influence it, demonstrating the importance of understanding urban dynamics as a whole, improving decision-making. The current constructive analysis of this avenue shows that buildings increased 51.30% in relation to 2001, but maintaining the predominance of residential buildings even with the increase in commercial / service and mixed uses, favoring an increase in the number of vehicles motorways on the avenue and compromising the road flow.
