Resumo: This article presents a study about the urban voids existing in the urban network of the municipality of Francisco Beltrão-PR. The urban voids are characterized by vacant or underutilized spaces within the urban network and constituted by existing infrastructure. The spaces are derived from the historical process of growth of a city and the lack of urban planning. The municipality of Francisco Beltrão-PR, as well as several other urban centers, has a number of vacant lots that fit this analysis, due to this was done the survey of existing urban voids through the Geographic Information System (GIS) and data from Municipal institution. Through this tool it was possible to establish that the municipality of Francisco Beltrão has an expressive number of urban voids, with emphasis on the central region of the municipality.

Os vazios urbanos são caracterizados por espaços vagos ou subutilizados dentro da malha urbana e constituído por infraestrutura existente. Os espaços são oriundos do processo histórico de crescimento de uma cidade e da falta de planejamento urbano. O município de Francisco Beltrão-PR, assim como diversos outros centros urbanos, possui um numero de lotes vagos que se encaixam nesta análise, devido a isto foi realizado o levantamento dos vazios urbanos existentes através do Sistema de Informação Geográfica (SIG) e dados da instituição municipal.
