Resumo: The paper presents and discusses the architectural design of the St. Jude Chapel, from original drawings of the project (1983-1985) and photos of its construction (1985), courtesy of architect Shieh Shueh Yau, one of the authors of the project. This small religious building was commissioned by Professor Alberto Mesquita de Camargo to serve the University of São Judas Tadeu’s community and the neighborhood of Mooca. Built in 1985, although it has been subject to some changes, that seemingly insignificant, distort some of the initial intentions of the project, the building continues to convey much of its original values.
