Resumo: | The article proposes the ‘but not only’ epistemology. Dialogue with the Social Epistemology of Jesse Shera, Constructivist Epistemology defended by Gaston Bachelard, Philosophy of Difference by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari and anthropology by Marisol de La Cadena. The methodology is exploratory with a qualitative method that develops interlocution between theorists and epistemological movements establishing structure with the philosophy of difference expressed in the creation of concepts and the distinction of Gaston Bachelard's constructivist epistemology, social epistemology and constructivism in the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze.Deleuze explains that the concept admits a series of details that originates from the virtue of the problems, conceiving a subjective and practical path, having a fragmentary whole that welcomes the multiplicity of the concept and its processes. The concept is built from the articulation of heterogeneous elements: it is the event. The journey through the Deleuzian philosophical epistemology that creates concepts provides the creation of the philosophical concept ‘library not only”.‘Not only’ library understands a problem that doesn’t end with examples modeled on resignified public libraries. To explain the ‘not only library’, the summarization of Mostafa and Nova Cruz (2009) is used: every concept refers to a problem that is, in some way, frowned upon, misplaced; every concept has components, it is defined by them; every concept has a story; every concept has a future. The ‘not only library’ are many libraries and others to come. The epistemological result is the ‘library not only’ as a broad space for learning that goes beyond reading and writing;as a space for the most diverse audiences; as a concept that contemplates the temporal historical tracing since the colony Brazil; as a concept for many other libraries beyond the future. |

The epistemological result is the ‘library not only’ as a broad space for learning that goes beyond reading and writing;as a space for the most diverse audiences; as a concept that contemplates the temporal historical tracing since the colony Brazil; as a concept for many other libraries beyond the future.
