Resumo: | The study aims to evaluate the initial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economic-financial situation of families in Cali, Colombia through a multinomial Logit model. The data comes from a direct investigation through the application of a survey. The results revealed that there is an economic-financial vulnerability of these families to the pandemic. Men with an average age of 36 years who present levels of education higher than professional can resist the financial impact. As the age of men increases, the negative financial impact grows stronger. |

Os dados são oriundos de uma investigação direta por meio da aplicação de um questionário. Os resultados revelaram que, em geral, existe uma vulnerabilidade econômico-financeira dessas famílias à pandemia. Homens com mais de 36 anos com escolaridade superior à graduação são mais capazes de suportar o impacto financeiro. À medida que a idade dos homens aumenta, o impacto financeiro negativo fica mais forte.El estudio evalúa el impacto inicial de la pandemia del COVID-19 sobre la situación económica-financiera de las familias de Cali, Colombia por medio de un modelo Logit multinomial. Los datos provienen de una investigación directa por medio de la aplicación de una encuesta. Los resultados revelaron que existe una vulnerabilidad económica-financiera de estas familias ante la pandemia. Los hombres con edad promedio de 36 años que presentan niveles de escolaridad superior a la profesional están en capacidad de resistir al impacto financiero.
