Resumo: | The purpose of this study was to analyse some effects of three different maintenance conditions of planarians in the laboratory. One of the conditions was stable, standardized and with less possibilities of stimulation than the other. In the third condition the possibilities of stimulation were enriched weekly. The groups of planarians kept in each condition were observed for 35 days and were compared regarding the lenght of the animals, oviposition and reactions to food. The implications of the different forms of maintenance were considered in the discussion of the similarities and differences between the groups. |
