Resumo: This article proposes an interpretation of the book Terra sem Mal – um mistério bufante e deleitoso (2015), by Waldo Motta, a contemporary Brazilian poet. In this work, from a religious, homoerotic and eschatological perspective, Waldo redefines the theme of the search for the Yvy marã'ey or Land without Evil – a Guarani belief that announces the existence of an indestructible land –, stating that this promised land can be found in the body itself, on its back. Taking the thought of Georges Bataille as a reference (1987, 2007), Motta's work can be considered as a project whose objective would be the search for mystical ecstasy, achieved through fully lived sexuality.
