Resumo: O artigo reflete sobre as manipulações de imagens visuais midiáticas e sentimentos do eleitorado a partir da teoria de mudança no modo de pensamento da humanidade (FLUSSER, 2008 e 2009), de tempo-histórico-linear para mágico-imagético-circular. Para tanto, cita e analisa exemplos históricos (BARTHES, 1961) na imprensa estadunidense e nacionais como o caso da ficha falsa de Dilma Rousseff na capa da Folha de S. Paulo em 2009 (SOUZA, 2012), a disputa narrativa entre o “Pavão Misterioso” e o The Intercept Brasil em 2019 (SOUZA; PEREIRA, 2020), e o caso da falsificação em vídeo da pesquisa IPEC sobre as intenções de votos no primeiro turno das eleições de 2022.

To this end, it cites and analyzes historical examples (BARTHES, 1961) in the US and national press, such as the case of Dilma Rousseff's false record on the cover of Folha de S. Paulo in 2009 (SOUZA, 2012), the narrative dispute between “Pavão Misterioso” and The Intercept Brasil in 2019 (SOUZA; PEREIRA, 2020), and the case of video falsification of the IPEC survey on voting intentions in the first round of the 2022 elections.Universidade de São Paulo.
