Resumo: The general objective of this article is to discuss the scientific journalism produced by the University of  São Paulo, through the example of Jornal da USP. The aim is to help reflect on the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses with which this journalism is produced. To this end, interviews were conducted with the journalists responsible for the vehicle, in addition to non-participant observation through visits to the newspaper's newsroom.
