Resumo: Three rumen fistulated crossbred Holstein heifers were used to evaluate dry matter and crude protein rumen degradability of three treatments as follows: A) soybean meal (FS); B) extruded semi-whole soybean grains (SSIE); and extruded whole soybean grains (SIE). Experimental design was completely randomized, isolating treatments, animals and replicates in statistical analysis. Results showed that rumen degradability for semi whole or whole extruded soybean grains were lower than for soybean meal. Defatting the whole soybean grain before extrusion resulted in lower protein degradability rates.
