Resumo: Ena Lucía Portela´s fictional texts offer an ironic play of a narrative voice that laughs at everything around her. These surroundings can include real references as well as fictional ones. The affirmation of control and authorship is one of the forms in which metafictional plays appear in her texts. This produces an indetermination of the place of enunciation blurring the line between the real world and the fictional world. What happens with the essays published in Con hambre y sin dinero (2018) presented as ´non-fictional´-texts, and what kind of relation can we establish between Portela´s poetics in general and this supposedly different genre?
