Resumo: This paper discusses some aspects of the Iranian artist and intellectual Abbas Kiarostami’s poetry. Besides being a poet, representative of a long Persian poetic tradition, Kiarostami was also a filmmaker and photographer, and built a strong link and dialogue between his poetry and these other arts. A core theme of great interest to the poet seems to be the representation of natural landscapes and the play of uncertainties that nature provides for reflecting on modernity.
