Resumo: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the pressure variation of women in the puerperium state who developed pregnancy - induced by pretension when submited to a protocol of physioterapic treatment in the immediate puerperium. There were selected 33 women in the puerperium state who were submited to the treatment, comparing the pressure level found before, immediatly after the exercise and after a break of ten minutes, in two subsequent days. The protocol of the treatment consisted of physiotherapy exam and the exercises for circulatory stimulation, for the pelvic and abdominal muscles reeducation, and for the respiratory function reeducation. The results indicated the arterial pressure presented a significant variation when compared to the initial and final level, but returning to the initial pressure level after ten minutes, what can be characterized as a physiologic answer to the exercise. The conclude was that the aplication of an exercise protocol on patients in the immediate puerperium who developed pregnancy-induced by hypertension does not aggravate their clinical state. This study was produced in the maternity Hospital Hilda Brandão - Santa Casa - Belo Horizonte.

This study was produced in the maternity Hospital Hilda Brandão - Santa Casa - Belo Horizonte.
