Resumo: O ambiente rural de trabalho passou, principalmente durante o século 20, por diversas mudanças de cunho organizacional e tecnológico. Estas mudanças propiciaram o aumento de produção de alimentos para que este acompanhasse o aumento populacional mundial que é contínuo. Por meio deste trabalho, buscou-se identificar os principais riscos inerentes ao trabalho na área rural e as doenças por eles causadas. Através de um questionário, trabalhadores foram entrevistados para identificar sintomas característicos de doenças ocupacionais do meio rural. Os sintomas mais comuns identificados foram os sintomas relacionados a doenças respiratórias, ergonômicas, dermatológicas e auditivas. Para uma melhor prevenção e tratamento dessas doenças, cabe ao empregador educar e orientar seus colaboradores.

These changes have led to increased food production to accompany the continuing global population increase. Through this work, we sought to identify the main risks inherent to work in the rural area and how the diseases caused by them.
