Resumo: With the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency remote education (ERE) was implemented by schools, generating many mishaps for students with disabilities. Therefore, this study aimed to propose a 3D biological model on Oral Health and analyze the implications of this material for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) during the pandemic. For the research, a child mouth model was developed to work on science teaching with children with ASD. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were carried out and questionnaires were applied to the research participants - mothers and teachers. The results showed that the teachers worked with the children on self-care and scientific education based on oral hygiene’s steps and interacting with the material. It was also found that one family explored the material with the child during the RRE, favoring the teaching and learning process. We can infer that despite the gaps in the development of children with ASD imposed by the pandemic, the material brought useful contributions to their daily life and the development of cognitive skills.

Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR)CNPq, IFRJPereira, Grazielle Rodriguesde Mello, Ana Rita GonçalvesPimentel, Gabriela BenjaminLange, Samuel Rogerio MilhomemAlves, Gustavo Henrique Varela Saturnino2023-03-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionAvaliado pelos pares, Artigos Originaisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/otherapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.utfpr.edu.br/actio/article/view/1544010.3895/actio.v8n1.15440ACTIO: Teaching in Sciences; v. 8, n. 1 (2023); 1-25ACTIO: Docência em Ciências; v. 8, n. 1 (2023); 1-252525-892310.3895/actio.v8n1reponame:Actio (Curitiba)instname:Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR)instacron:UTFPRporhttps://periodicos.utfpr.edu.br/actio/article/view/15440/9436https://periodicos.utfpr.edu.br/actio/article/downloadSuppFile/15440/2672Direitos autorais 2023 ACTIO: Docência em Ciênciashttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-05-03T14:18:24Zoai:periodicos.utfpr:article/15440Revistahttps://periodicos.utfpr.edu.br/actio/PUBhttps://periodicos.utfpr.edu.br/actio/oaimarcelolambach@utfpr.edu.br||actio-ct@utfpr.edu.br||periodicos@utfpr.edu.br2525-89232525-8923opendoar:2023-05-03T14:18:24Actio (Curitiba) - Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR)false
